I give my guinea pig about 4 pieces of lettuce a day. Is that ok? Will he get sick or anything? Please tell me if it’s wrong and tell me how much to give him.

About a cup of veggies per day is good. Make sure to give a variety. No iceberg lettuce. I give mine green and red leaf lettuce, romaine, gem lettuce, cucumber, red and orange peppers, cilantro and basil. Maybe once a week I give them a small piece of carrot and small piece of apple or watermelon.

Thank you for the information. I only give my guinea pig romaine lettuce.

Added to what @Livia Rabideau said, mine also like chicory, dill, spinach (not too often), parsley (again not too often) pak choi, red chard, chunks of celery.
Actually I haven’t found anything they don’t like!
Also I give my guinea pig carrots, nothing else but what is good for guinea pigs and what is not?

My two get lettuce, some bell pepper (usually yellow or green because that is what I usually have), cucumber and some coriander every day. Then a couple of times a week, I add in a small piece of spring greens. I also feed some carrot, basil and a small piece of apple about twice a week. I sometimes give them courgette but they aren’t all that sure whether they like it!
I give things like spinach, kale, Pak Choi if I happen to have them in my fridge but those things aren’t fed to them very.often.

My Finn and Lara get 2-3 pieces of lettuce depending on the size of the lettuce everyday along with cilantro, parsley, basil, cat grass, kale, dandelion, baby carrot and etc. They get 3 meals a day of herbs and veggies.

Fruit is given in small amounts only 3-4 times a week due to its high sugar content. I gave them small amount of watermelon this morning so they will have to skip fruit tomorrow.

Ours only get lettuce once a week or so due to it being more watery and lower in nutrition than a lot of other things, leafy veg wise I rotate kale, spinach, chicory, spring greens, various cabbages, pak or bok choi, chard, cauliflower leaves and a few others depending on whats in season. Then bell peppers every day or a snack sized mini pepper, twice a week they get a root veg, once every other week a lump of corn or fruit, fresh grass whenever I have some available. They also get a herb pretty much every day, their favourites are dill, parsley, coriander, basil, mint or thyme. They get 1 cup of veggies per pig which is a rough, small handful.

Thank you, I will show my dad.

Before I was given Lara from a friends who didn't want her, my boy Finn always had his stuffed puppy toy he sleeps with, cuddles with, and holds on to when he got scared. He doesn't let go of his puppy toy and I see him resting his head on his puppy toy all the time.
Even now, and even with Lara close by in another cage, Finn will always put his head on his puppy toy and rests on him.
I would recommend getting him a stuffed animal made for pets to keep him company. Size of the stuffed puppy is similar to Finn.

For Lara, she has fleece pouch she loves to sleep in and inside her pouch is a small stuffed puppy, which she cuddles with and sleeps with. Both Finn and Lara live indoor, in an air-conditioned room so Lara does sleep inside her pouch with her pet toy.

I have many toys for both Finn and Lara, and I wash them with detergent and soak them in vinegar water.
