When I get the pigs out and put them on the floor they dont move they just sit down and squeak ha ha then when i put them back in the cage they start popcorning allllllll over ha ha ha do they prefer the cage to being out of it ha ha ha they love being handled but just love the cage better. I feel horrible for putting them back sometimes x

Three of mine do that! They either stay put or run under their cage and wait to be put back in. I think they like the security of their home although they do run about outside on the grass! My other two run all over the lounge when they get out their cage, poo under the sofa and chew cables - not sure which I prefer rolleyes

Some adult piggies are not keen on moving around a lot; however, have you got things to enitce them with, like a pile of old towels or fleeces to burrow underneath or a dish that you have swirled some fruit juice in for them to investigate?

Making run time more interesting might help and it doesn't take a lot!

Mine are like that- just not interest in the run and get really excited once they are back in their cage, i put veggies and tunnells and towels in the run but all they do is eat then do nothing.

They are funny things aren't they! Our herd will eat every shred of grass in the run and will race about mad at floor time however two of our previous rescue pigs just sat in the corner of the run till they were brought back in!

I took boris out last night put bits of fleece down and we played guinea pig sounds he loved it hahahahaa popcorning and running everywhere x
