I have no idea what is up with them. A few months ago we had a set of strong seasons for all 4 - it was mayhem but settled. Then about 6 weeks ago it started again. The main instigator is Zigg, she seems to constantly be in season. Chasing, rumble strutting and humping the others and more often than not she is covered from head to toe in their pee. We have the odd day of rest but not much.
My dilemma is do I leave them to see if it settles, do I take Zigg to the vets to check for ovarian cysts or do I take both Zigg and Binky to the vets on the basis that it could be Zigg making a play for matriarch which could mean that Binky isn’t feeling very well – although she seems fine (Binky has typically held matriarch since Biscuit passed but seems less bothered by it at the moment so long as the others don’t tread on her toes - she used to chase and bite but since the mange mite episode last summer she has been more laid back only shoving away when they are really in her face and not tossing them out of beds if they are already there, although saying that she bit Zigg on the bum yesterday for ramp blocking).
Any thoughts?
