As some of my close friends and family know I am a disaster in the kitchen. If its not ready cooked or needs micro blasting I am highly likely to burn it.

So why, please tell me, did I just decide I would try to make cookies? Maybe cos I thought "Oh, its premixed, just add water I should be safe" ptttttttth, yeah RIGHT.

Mixed the dough, used tad too mich water so it was sticky, realised I have no flour oh well, try rolling it anyway. Made a right mess, roller in the bin I used my hands to flatten it out. Star cutter at the ready proceeded to cut out stars, shapes stuck to the counter. I pulled them off and reshaped them on the tray.

So, shapes on the tray, oven preheated I put them in. Forget about the timer til I hears "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP" Smoke alarm kindly reminds me I needed to take them out
::)

I takes them out in a cloud of black smoke, coughing and eyes pouring. Looks at them and tries to think of how I could possibly attempt save them, so out comes the knife. I try cutting the birnt bits off, its like trying to remove concrete from outside wall. I quit, chuck them in the bin, but before I did I took a pic, what do you think? No laughing please ;D

(Those who are of a sensitive nature please look away now)

Hehe, you poor love. Not a bad attempt though :)

If you didn't forget then I'm dure they would've turned out well :)[

If there's a next time - put the alarm on your mobile! ;)/color]

They were actually worse than that, black on the bottom, its only the flash that improved them ;D

stick to bought ones then! 2funny

you know for that homebaked look/smell, you can put them in the oven for a while.. ;D

Lol, i cant make custard. No matter what i do it always stays runny. I've decided to give up. I never used to cook, but since moving in with OH i've become quite good. I make cakes and all sorts now. :)

Well at least you know that they are cooked. ;D

The only way you get better is to keep trying

Ahhh never mind at least you tried! I'm sure they'll turn out better next time x

cooking comes with practice I never thought i was any good until I'm started baking my kids birthday cakes and they got quite good even if i do say so myself, but to begin with I burnt everything being a veggie I also tend to over cook meat for the family I say better over cooked then undercooked, baking I'm fine at but cooking dinners I hate

awwwww you poor thing! I'm crap in the kitchen as well! I am really trying to learn to cook properly but I'm just totally useless! hehe I bought the ingredients 1 year ago to make flap jacks and then just bought them instead cause i'm crap! haha You're better than me though - at least you tried! :)

Keep going at it though - I'm getting myself cook books now! :) Keep trying!

Trace x

What's wrong with them? Most of my cooking looks like that anyway! I hate cooking, have no interest whatsoever but I also don't like buying processed stuff like ready meals.

Have a go at making soup, that's never gone wrong for me - there's not a lot that can go wrong - honest!

;D ;D ;D ;D

Now i'll be nice, never mind we've all had similar disasters, honestly it does take time and practice. Hey i still make meals that the
family just look and say mmmmmm "so what's this called?" bit hard to describe the stirfry that hasn't worked out :D :D

You must keep on trying and then oneday you can cook for all of us :)

As long as you're careful not to cut your finger on the tin ;D

It was a very brave attempt. Better luck next time. I do feel for you though. I'm just as much as a disaster. I could burn water ;D
