I Am So Lucky To Have My Girl Today

1 year ago today i made this thread: A Picture A Day..
I started posting a picture a day of my girl fudge after she was diagnosed with a terminal illness- she was in heart failure. I realised every day was precious, as was every photo.

The day i started this thread, it was the morning after a horrendous night.. I stayed up with my girl and held her, cried, spoke to her.. Her chest was full of fluid, and i was preparing to take her to the vet to let her go. Something told me she wasnt ready.. She told me she wasnt ready.

I didnt think for a second i would still have my girl today, but after that night one year ago i knew i could rely on her to show me what she wants.. To show me she still wants to fight, and to show me when shes had enough.

I kept fighting with her, and have given her all the love and care she has needed, and (most importantly) the medications and veterinary treatment that have kept her comfortable and stable.

I feel so lucky to have my girl today, wheeking and demanding things from her mum.

How lovely that you can tune in so fully to Fudge and in so doing can give her the love and attention that she needs.
 
You and fudge have a truly amazing bond, and she is probably going to keep fighting for a while yet!:box:

Can't quite believe it's a year since you started this thread. Fudge must be one of the most photographed divas on this forum. Here's to the next year little Miss Fudge :luv::luv:
 
Wow, one year. Fudge is such a forum piggy and so special. So pleased you have each other in your lives x
 
It's been an eventful year for you both (and her sisters); at times heart-breaking and exhausting round the clock care, not to mention expensive. But you've made it and are still having fun and being thoroughly spoilt.

You've said that your bond together has grown much stronger, and it has been good that you know her so well that you can rely on her to tell you whether she has the fight to continue.

Fudge is such a character and a special piggie - keep fighting, we like to hear how you are doing and seeing pictures of your smiley face and distinguished whiskers xx:luv:

Without you Adelle, Fudge wouldn't still be here, you 2 are a team. Fudge wouldn't have anything to do if she couldn't worry you.
