This picture was taken by the rescue when they were nine months old. They are now just over two.

Anna from the rescue is away for a week (wheek haha) so wont be able to home check until after the 17th. I have been buying fleece, vet bed, removal blankets (make a good absorbent layer apparently) and going to get a mattress protector as the waterproof layer. I am totally in love with them.

I help Crack and my heart just melted. James was hard to catch (went right to the far back corner of his hutch) but Anna did get him and held him for me to see. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

I am smitten.

Oh the image didnt work. It is the second one down on here;

They are beautiful. Lucky you and lucky pigs to have finally found their forever home (providing all goes well during the home check, which I'm sure it will). Have you owned piggies before?

Thank you Wiebke, they are rather lovely. I have read the starter kit thread and found it helpful. Hi Sian25. Yes I have owned guinea pigs as a child (a LONG time ago) and more recently. I have not had any for almost a year and felt it was time to get some again now that I am settled in sunny Hampshire.

Tiamolly, hope you find what you are looking for! The little guinea pig in your avatar pic is lovely.

Thanks eileen, I love them already and keep looking at their picture on the Wheek and Squeak website ...

It is very tantalising having to wait for so long until the home check can be arranged. At least I can get everything properly prepared for them.

Thanks pig in the city. I really enjoy researching. Hoping to make fleece bedding work. Never tried it before.
