Hi! I finally found a rescue that had piggies (not that many in the north of Spain), and yesterday I went to pick them up

They were super scared (still are) so I'm leaving them alone, giving them space. I don't know their exact age because they were left at the pound... but their papers say september 2018 for one (Scar, tricolored one), and november 2018 for the other (Stitch, brown). They are both neutered and healthy.

Scar seems to be the dominant one, Stitch always follows him, eats after him etc. Stitch is also super shy and jumpy.

Scar does a lot this purring sound, like a rumble, but I'm not sure if it's rumblestrutting or not. He does this sound at 0.15 in the video. They also popcorn quite a bit :yahoo:

They are both super cute. Glad they are getting along well together.

I have a long haired boy named Finn and I feel I bond with him more because I spend more grooming time with him. I give him hair cuts, bum baths, and nail cuts. I make sure he is comfortable and his bum hair is not matted.

I've noticed that their fur is quite greasy all over and I don't think they've ever been groomed, but I want them to settle down and be comfortable before trying to handle them.

The "purr" sound, is it normal? He does it and then he popcorns, so I'm not sure of its meaning :hmm:

Hi! Gorgeous boys! Well done for giving them a home.

Be patient. You might find this new guide here interesting and helpful, apart from our other settling in and making friends advice.
Avoid predatory behaviours, establish a firm daily routine each with its own vocal jingle from you to find structure and use food and piggy whispering to gradually win them over. It's not necessarily a quick process, but well worth it!

Yes, that is definitely a rumblestrut, so they have started establishing their hierarchy as a functional group in their new territory. Good sign - they are no longer frozen and they have started settling in! :tu:

Hello and congrats on your new arrivals, so great how you decided to adopt them from a rescue!
