Hutch With A Run

Hi.

I am new to having guineas. I have 2 6 month old girls and the hutch I bought for them has a run attached to the bottom of it. I also have a separate run for them to go in. However it is causing me a lot of problems as all poo and chippings are falling through and onto the grass and I cant seem to pick it up or stop this from happening. My oh is going mental that it's ruining the grass.

Any suggestions please? One of my guineas is allergic to sawdust so I have pellets for them.

I have a similar problem. I have put up what I refer to as "splash guards" . Basically, I secure a piece of cardboard, correx or a strip of wood to the edge of the cage/run with a fold back clip. I have attached a picture of this in their indoor run . Not the best picture but it will give you an idea. You will see the fold back clip in the background.
