Hi,

As some of you may know that I have posted a thread with an image of one of my hutches asking how much are you willing to pay as it is.

Well I have now renovated it and purchased a custom made hutch cover, which is brand new and fantastic. It has a 2 layers, one night cover and one see through cover for daytime. Also I have got a fly netting for this hutch so
it is protected from flies and insect throughout the summer. It has got strong velcros on it, which is much better than a zip and they tend to break easily.

I have installed more screws and replaced some, I have sanded all the wood so it is safe and smooth without any sharp splinters of woods.

I have also painted it twice with 'Good for woods' wax, which is perfectly safe and fantastic for the wood. (As shown below)

So could you please give me your honest opinions of how much would you pay for this if I was to sell it?

I probably could've taken better pictures of the hutch, especially showing the daytime cover and the nettings. But I will do later on if you want me to.

Lastly just to let you know, if I do sell it I will only be selling for people who have got guinea-pigs, I won't allow people to have rabbits in this hutch because it's a 4ft double storey hutch and the ramp can be closed. Lastly it has strong sturdy wheels on the base, so it easily removable to clean underneath or to change hutch position.

Thank-you for your time. rolleyes

Have to say you've done a lovely job on it, it looks really good to the previous pics :)

As for the price, i really don't know as my OH makes all my hutches so i've no clue what a hutch is worth :{

It looks really good. Where are you thinking of selling it? If you put it on Ebay then I'd guess £80 - £100 or more. Do you know what the same hutch costs new?

The cover looks fantastic! How much did that cost you?

And also... where abouts are you? Might be someone on the forum near you wanting a hutch

Hi,

Thank-you for your reply!:)) I am most likely to sell it sooner or later, as I don't use it anymore and its a good hutch. Also its in the way unfortunatley!")

The exactly same hutch as this cost £149 brand new excluding hutch cover. They don't make one unless you purchase it a custom made, like I did. The cover cost me £89 ( I had to pay (£9.99 P&P) which is a lot but worth it. So realistically if anyone buys a new hutch exactly the same as this one, and buy a cover for this, it will cost them around £240.

So I guess its a bargain to buy this hutch with cover although its 4 years old. Also I was planning to apply vinyl tiles but I changed my mind as I didn;t want to ruin it also I was worried it may be too heavy and people have
suggested that it attachs flies where the gaps are.

Lastly I am located in Rugby, Warwickshire!

Thanks again,
Lessie:)
