hutch solutions needed! please!

This is my dilemma...

I am moving the piggies outside for the summer, I have 7 two boars and 5 sows.

without breaking the bank I need to house the 5 sows in one hutch and the 2 boars in another..

I have looked at triple hutches and they are too expensive

double ones arn't deep enough or not long enough to house 5

any ideas? they have a huge run to exercise in what size hutch do I need for 5 having a hard time finding anything

You'll be hard pushed to find better ones at a low price.


You could consider building one, but I'm not sure how much the materials would be. For five guinea pigs, a custom one is the best you'll get I think:{

I'm building mine and its 5ft x 2ft x 18inches to house 3/4 sows or 2/3 boars. It costs around £100 to build.
I think you would be pushing it to find a cheap hutch for 5 sows unless you found a friend who makes them or something.

Or maybe you could make a c and c cage if you can/want to keep them indoors.

This is one of the best hutch companies - they do ones upto 6 ft long and 3 ft deep that would be ok for 5.
