I have the bluebell hideaway hutch, and when I want to play with the pigs downstairs, I have to remove the ramp so they can't hide upstairs. And this is quite annoying to keep doing this. So I have a link of a hutch which has a kind of 'Trap door' to stop the pigs from going upstairs if they're down, and going downstairs if they're upstairs. And I want to make my own for this hutch I have, you can see the link for the hutch has a little heart to keep the door up and some hinges.
So if anyone could give me any advice on what I would need and how to make it.

Can you use some sort of clips on the side of the mesh on the bottom so you just lift the ramp up a bit and clip it out the way? it would stop them going upstairs if their down, but they might still be able to get on the ramp if their are upstairs, depending on how high you can clip the ramp up. thats if the ramp is not too long to do so anyway :s sorry not that helpful in the end
