I'm going to be getting this hutch tomorrow:
It's a 4ft double hutch, mine will have legs though.

It's going to be for my 1 year old boar Gilly, and his new baby boar friend which will be joining him very soon. The baby will be 5 weeks old, so would it be able to manage going up and down the ramp?

I'll put a bed down the bottom just incase, Gilly should be able to manage it fine though.

I'm going to line it with fleece to help them grip it better aswell, but I'm worried the baby won't be able to use it.

I'd suggest putting the baby, and Gilly in the hutch let them settle for a couple of hours and then start on ramp training!

I'd suggest lots of veggies on the ramp, place him on the ramp and support his bottom as he explores, sometimes owners put a piece of wood on the side of the ramp so it feels a little more secure for the piggles.

As a baby he should pick it up quite easily, my boys did at 9 weeks old :)

If you find they arent taking to the ramp you could purchase a special ramp tunnel!

ooh the tunnel looks great! Gilly loves his fleece tunnel he has right now, so I'm positive he'd use one of those :)
I'm hoping, that just putting fleece between the ridges will work. *crosses fingers*

Gilly is going on his 2 day 'bonding trip' on Friday. He's staying with the lady and a baby boar Friday and Saturday.. then if all has gone well I'll pick him up Sunday and bring the baby home too!

Mine are in C&Cs but the one that Buzz and Beanbag are in has a big ramp. It does have carpet tiles and sides but Beanbag managed it within a few minutes of being in the cage. He was about 8 weeks old when we adopted him. I would think the baby will learn quickly.

Here's my progress:

I've lined the whole ramp with thick fleece. It's firmly stuck down but I can pull it off if need be.

I'm still undecided whether to use fleece on the top floor and my usual hay at the bottom. I don't want too much hay to fall down the ramp when the piggies run about ?/

Gilly has already tested it out, he managed to go up and down with no problems at all.
