Okay so i've bought my piggies a new hutch, they're indoor pigs but they now have a 'summer house' as such, just so i feel a little safer when they're out in there run, it's not in the best of condition as it's secondhand and been used for quite a while, however it should only really need a bit of paint on it and a good scrub !

My question is, what paint is safe for using on a hutch ? is it okay to use any paint or should i get some special kind, ideally i want something thats safe to be left outside with some odd rain in the summer but kept in a shed in winter.

Thanks (:

What you want to look for is a water based paint I think (although I am no expert)

I was going for Cuprinol Garden Shades but accidentally picked up a pot of Ronseal Wildlife Trust.

But I think Cuprinol and Wilkinsons are the big ones everyone uses

I'm off on a paint hunt today then !

Not sure what colour i want, something nice and summery i think (:

yes i used culprinol and once its dry its safe for animals. i chose a pink for the girls and blue for the boys...its so easy to get carried away! :<> i painted the runs too LOL :(|)
