Hi all,

After the incident where the hutch blew over outside because I :hb: had a umbrella behind it I can't bear the thought of it happening again. It is out on the grass, with nothing near it but I'm just so scared that I'll wake up and it will be blown over and them gone. :( I can't have them inside because when I got them under the condition that they stayed outside and am still not allowed to bring them in.
Is it possible that it will blow over again (even without strong winds) and does anyone have any tips on anything to secure it or any outside guinea pig home ideas? :ple::help:

Could you bolt the hutch down onto a concrete area? then itd be solid or put it up against a house/outbuilding?

I move it around 2-3 times a day on the grass, so it doesn't die. That is a good idea though :-)

I suppose you could then attach your hutch to a fixed spot and have a seperate run? something lower down has a better centre of gravity and shouldnt fall over :-)

Thanks, will look for a separate one

Could you maybe attach something to the legs and put strong pegs through and into the ground? If it is in the open more likely to blow over.

Sorry, didn't realise I'd posted the same link twice. This is the actual hutch I had although both are pretty much the same including price.

Thanks, I would love to get something like that but I've already got these:

And I recently got the 2nd one (over Christmas) because they go and stay at my cousin's place because Milo's hers so one's at her house.
I'll see
Thanks again for the links :)
