Does anyone know where I can get a hutch that is 5ft long but no more than 21 inches wide?

We've put our boys out in the shed for the summer but the hutch we were going to use for our pair (Pepe and Leo) won't fit in the shed (because the doors on the other hutches are too wide and open up too far).

They currently share a CNC that is 56 inches by 28 inches so although whatever hutch we get will have to be 7 inches less in width I don't want to reduce their length as well so I need one that is 5 foot long.

I've looked online and on eBay and can't find anything suitable. I was thinking about getting them a two level one but knowing how timid and clumsy they both are I don't really like the idea as they'll either not use both levels or they'll fall off the ramp at some point!

I have found a couple of places that will make one up for us to the size we want but they're looking to charge over £100 and we can't afford that :(

Any help would be appreciated.

This one is on ebay, 6ft long, and its 20 inches wide. I have the double version for my rabbits. I know you said 5ft, but its still a good price if you can fit it in.

If not, I reckon it would be a good idea to make one up.

We do a double one that is 53 x 19 x 38 but it is £137, or there is a single one that is 60 x 24 x 35 that is £79.99, both come with free delivery provided you are in mainland UK (not in Scottish Highlands etc) plus 5% of the profit gets donated to our local rescue.

Unfortunately 6 foot is too long, it won't fit in the shed.

The 5 foot one is 2 foot wide which is 24 inches and hence too wide.

Unfortunatley I can't afford £137, and the one for £79.99 is again too wide (24 inches).

Thanks for all the help and suggestions though everyone. I guess I'm a bit stuck!

Hi Marty, we popped to our suppliers this afternoon and spoke to them about the 19 inch width 5ft hutch. They have said they can bring it down to £118 but no lower. I know it's still over your £100 budget though but just thought I'd let you know.
This is the hutch

If it's just a home that is going to be kept in a shed - does it have to be a hutch? How about a slim 5ft long wall/shelf unit/wardrobe turned on its side, for example? You could jigsaw a window and attach some mesh - put a ply lid on. Just thinking of alternative solutions.

2nd hand furniture shops might have something you could use?
