Hutch Insulation-which Out Of These 2?

hi all, just rearranged my pigs so both lots have more space & i need to add insulation to their hutches- now am i best to get the silver backed radiatior type insulation or the silver foil one thats like bubble wrap? the 1st i can get hold of localy the other i will have to order on line. i want to line inside of hutch roofs & then do the outside back & sides.
 
My girls are indoor piggies, so sorry I have no idea. I have heard of people using old quilts to insulate hutches...perhaps someone who has more of an idea will answer soon.
 
Hi, my boys live in a hutch in an unused garage over the winter.
Last year I used the silver bubble wrap type insulation on the top and sides of the hutch and then they had an old duvet over the top of all of that which I pulled down over the front of the hutch at bedtime to stop draughts. on really cold days / nights I covered their stick bridge / hidey with a fleece blanket and often found them under it in the morning, and it was lovely and warm in there when I put my hand in. I've used cardboard boxes stuffed with hay before too, they seem to love those.

Forgot to mention you can get the silver bubble wrap from wickes
 
thanks it all helps! mine are outside-no space in shed to put them. they will have snuggle pad things & loads of hay,just wanted to get best insulating stuff to put on hutches,couldnt work out if one sort would be much warmer than the other x

I've just been and purchased a duvet from asda an out under the hutch cover. I will get some foil but cannot get to shops till weekend now
