Hi

We're just getting the last things together for the upcoming arrival of new guinea pigs and, as they are going to be living outdoors over the colder months, would it be worth buying one of the hutch snugglers now, instead of buying a hutch hugger and adding our own insulation when the colder weather hits.

Thanks for any replies.

If I had mine outside I'd want to be prepared because you never know when the air's going to turn nippy. Mine are inside and I'm still planning their Winter bedding and draught excluders now as I know how quick it all creeps up on you!

You could buy one now just depends on your budget and if you have the pennies to spend :)

Last year I had my boys in a hutch covered in loft insulation, with two layers of thick blankets and they were placed inside a shed :)

I can never remember which one is which but the waterproof ones I can't recommend highly enough!

Mine sadly live outside in the winter too (and we don't have a shed) but we have the water proof cover, placed under that we have double quilts, lots of fleeces, snuggle safes and of course lots of hay. They seem as happy as larry.
