hi everyone, been absent for a while looking after family.
right, i currently have 2x boars & 4 x sows. the 4 girls are having a whale of a time free range in half the greenhouse( only over winter) with a smaller hutch as cover, along with boxes etc. the boys are in a 6' single level hutch.
i need to buy a new hutch asap as the greenhouse will soon be too warm & we are getting rid of it anyway.
so , i have £100-120 to buy new hutch, not sure if to get a double hutch for the boys & put the girls in the 6' hutch,or another 5-6' single level hutch?
I'm on the isle of wight,so only really have pets@home or jollyes to choose from-or online, but tend to get ripped off with excess delivery charge :-/
any suggestions ?

I would probably get another single 5 or 6 foot hutch and if you get a 5 foot give it to the boys however if you can only get a 5 foot double then that may work for the girls :)

hm, yes i think thats what I'm going to have to do-i was tempted by a double, but knowing my rather thick bunch they wouldnt use the ramp.

arghh! now I'm back to thinking about double hutches. did yours use the whole hutch most of the time or just stay in one place more? do double hutches give them more chance to have fun aswell. all piggies, bar 1 boar are between 6-10 months old,so guess they should be able to learn....

my guinea pigs are lazy and usually just stay in their sleeping area eating hay but yes they did use the whole hutch when food was out or it wasn't bad weather as they liked to sunbath and run in the fresh air :P
