I am driving myself mad with hutch covers !

We have a double hutch so decided it would be quite expensive to get a hutch cover so bought some clear tarpaulin from ebay - the tarpaulin is good quality but it drives me mad ! I seem to always get some water trapped under it when I have it lifted up at the front, so everytime I drop it down I get wet feet or moisture trapped underneath (which I don't hink does the hutch or piggies any good)

Have been looking again at hutch covers, our hutch will fit the Scratch and Newton ones, but they also have the hutch snuggles - do I need both ? I will bring the GP's inside during the winter.

I know I could do a DIY job and fasten silver panels on the hutch but would prefer a cover I could lift on and off.

What do you do with the hutch ? Mine definatly needs some kind of rain protection as the is a couple of leaks (despite sealing and re painting)

Thanks
Andrea

i use the huggers and snuggles, but they are cheaper on ebay. i saw a snuggle for my double hutch and it was £75 in the petshop!!
i have used tapaulin before and i had the same problem but if you bring them in for winter i wouldn't worry too much. when we have some dry weather, i usually put the guineas out in the run and open all the hutch up to dry out and spread the tarpaulin on the grass to air.
since then though i bought new hutches and painted them before they went outside and put the huggers on and its staying dry.
maybe lining the inside of the hutch with tarpaulin too?
