Hutch and run set out problems... Help?

So I have a large/medium sized hutch with a 'lid' that opens and closes. I have attached to the hutch a massive dog pen with a lively waterproof bedding mat thing.
I have realised my pigs prefer the attachment to their actual home, which bothers me as the hutch was VERY expensive and was hand painted. I was wondering if there where any hutch ideas to get my two to like it again.
I have currently a large box filled with hay in which they LOVE! And lots of rattles and wooden chews. Thank you for your help

It's a double hutch if you know what I meen, like with a ramp

You could add a cosy area for them to relax!?
