Hi it’s been awhile since I post on this but today I accidentally caught my Guinea pigs hand on their cage lock and she didn’t make a sound but I saw her trying to pull her hand out so once I moved it back she got it out and was just biting or cleaning it and then I noticed she wouldn’t put pressure on it and was limping it happened not that long maybe thirty minutes when I post this but I’m worried if I broke it or if she’s just sore from it. Please let me know I feel really bad and one more thing she kinda has a problem eating she’ll eat but then have a cough fit or choke on it on accident she does it all the time when she eats veggies and sometimes hay and pellets idk if it’s cause she might be getting old I don’t know my piggies ages.

I’m sorry to hear this.

If you piggy is injured the best thing is to see a vet. It’s possible it’s just a bit sore but a vet is the only person who can determine whether she may need painkillers etc

Sometimes if piggies eat too fast then it can make them cough, but it’s not wise to just assume that is the case if it is happening a lot or if you are worried. Best thing is to get her a vet check up

I hope she is ok

Okay thank you very much I’m going to keep an eye on her till tomorrow morning to see if she’ll walk on that foot if not then I will take her to the vet.
