Humping !

My new guinea pig, Charlie [11 months] , has started humping george my 2 year old ! Is this a problem ?
 
It's a dominance thing. Nothing to worry about unless they start teeth chattering at one another. Which would mean one wasn't happy about it and could end up in fighting. Hope it stops soon, it should do. :)
 
Well yesterday they have had a small fight and a little teeth chattering but they have stoped for now I hope ! :) :) :)
 
You could maybe try bathing them together that sometimes helps when theres a dominance challenge in play

I agree ... give them a bath together to eliminate their scents. Scrub out their hutch also.

Keep an eye on them as the younger one may be making a play to be the dominate one. It just depends if the older one is happy to take a back seat or decides to take a stand.

Yep go with what you've been advised you can also still go to Barmy4Boars website for some great advice on boars..........that's where i first learnt many things for my two fiesty ones... unfortunately had to be separated but still adored each other rolleyes

As long as they're not biting or drawing blood it's ok, just keep a strict eye on them and yep def try the baths and clean out their sleeping quarters to get rid of their previous markings they tend to do...lol
