In the wild, guinea pigs are a prey animal, so they are wary of humans. Luckily, they can bond to you pretty easily - even if you clean them, they can bond to you. Handling them is probably the best way to bond with your guinea pigs as they feel your hand and can smell your scent . Training them is possible, too. Just make sure you reward them well, but not with too many treats, so you can make sure they don't go over-weight!
