Huge Bum Bath Needed!

Today was finally the day I had a chance to clip Woodys tail. Now, Woody has EXTREMELY thick fur that his fur gets really dirty. So yeah, as i said today I clipped his tail (Not like a tail tail, but a tail thats made out of his fur) and it just revealed what I mess it was and how thick the fur was around his grease gland. His fur was really greasy and there was sawdust and old poos sticking onto it! I did remove all the poos and bits of sawdust. We did give him a big bum bath last summer, and it was terrible... my dad was shouting at me in fustration and I was trying to wash him! He keep moving around and we used a washing up liquid called VEL and it barely did anything, but it did help a bit. The grease has clinged onto his fur and its not very nice. Any advice on giving a SUPER good bum bath and some tips for EXTREMELY thick fur?

I keep my texel pigs fur very short around the bum, i trim him probably about every 2 weeks.
