I'm thinking of buying a hutch 7 1/2ft x 2 1/2ft x 3 1/2ft (height is big as it's really meant for rabbits). How many guinea pigs would live happily and comfortably in that? I know Cavy Cages says 13 square foot is minimum for 4.

I'm just thinking of new options for all my girls, they get on well and I'd my nice to make them a large group. So if anyone has any suggestions they would be welcomed! :)

Do not know how many piggies you have. If you have lots then I would have them free range on a shed floor. Lots af space for them then ;)

I currently have 12 piggers, 11 sows and one un-neutered boar.
The Hutch would be way to small for 13 piggies get the boar neutered then put them all in a shed would be your best option :)

Oh I wasn't planning on putting 13 in, I thought maybe 6 would be okays? But a shed could be good, just got to work out where it could go now! ;D

I would say ideally 4, maximum 5. With larger groups you need as much space as possible to prevent them falling out over space/territory.
