I've somehow either got a blister or verrucca on the bottom of my foot! It hurts like crazy!

But how did I get either? I can't walk, but can stand so it's not pressure, it's not sweat either, no shoes rubbing! No-one else has either so I can't have caught it! I'm stumped!

Ideas please? Bit stupid to go docs! LOL

When you were asleep do you think you may have been unaware that you've rubbed your foot ?
Do you wear socks, is there something in them perhaps?

This is a bit mystifying :o :o

Awww hope it gets better soon love :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: boy can they be uncomfortable :(

Mmmm, they are usually picked up at a swimming pool. It is a wart type virus. Is there anyone else in your house that goes swimming who could have one and you got it that way? Go to the doctor and they will freeze it, it will clear it up in no time! Or get something from the pharmacy, it takes longer to work though. My sister had one for 3 years and never bothered until recently and was surprised how quickly it disappeared once it was frozen off!

Oh by the way, if it is a verrucca, it will be brown on top (if that makes sense) and they don't usually hurt much unless you have had it a long time so more likely a blister? A blister would be caused by excessive rubbing somehow.

**Shudder** freezing it off! LOL errrrmm no ;D

No-one has been swimming lately, and I don't stand on the floor anyhow! ;)

Errmmmm, not socks and definitely haven't rubbed it :o :o

I am just a mystery! :D :D :D

Errrrrrmm, yeah that's how it is! Brown on top! ewwwwww

I sometimes get what look like clusters of blisters ,dont know what they are ( they are not blisters) can be very painful but have no idea what they are or how to treat them.

They are possibly corns which are quite painful-you can get stuff in the chemist for them.

Kellyandpiggies: I would go to the doc and have them frozen off-iThey use nitrogen spray from a can which at first feels icy cold then very hot. It's quite nice actually! A few days later it drops off.
I used to work with feet thats how I know these strange facts!

;D freaky! I always get bruises, scratches and sometimes start bleeding and dont even notice it until ages after I did it ;D

LOL ah ok, but I have to be careful of spasms! I can see my kicking the doc! I'll make the appt for monday!

Kelly you should be seeing a chiropodsit for your daibetes anyway let them deal with it mine wont even let me cut my own nails as i have neuropathy in my feet, maybe you've had your feet done recenlty and they could have passed a wart/verrucah virus on somehow maybe instruments etc

A natural way to get rid of a verrucca is to place a slice of garlic over it and apply a plaster. Keep changing it daily and keep this up until it drops off. Your breath will start to smell as the garlic gets in your bloodstream but it does work. I got rid of 2 stubborn veruccas like this that wouldn't respond to anything else. Just a thought if you wanted an alternative treatment!

They are caused by a virus which is spread most easily on wet floors (swimming pool etc). Use a separate towel so as not to spread the infection. hth

Definitely not corns , more like small bisters (filled with fluid) but not caused by friction as are proper blisters.

I think that's exactly where it came from! Only had my feet done last week!

Great advice Michelle O0 :-*

Kelly please be careful get it checked out pronto :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: :smitten: advice from Duke and Me ;) :) :) :)

common sense really, make sure you complain big time they should not be passing on viruses like that especailly to some one with diabetes, :tickedoff: and let them deal with it you know they are the ones who are only to touch your feet, I am disgusted :tickedoff:

Oh I certainly will! That is the only place where I could've got it!

As my feet don't touch the floor and only Mike and I use the bathroom
