I have a 6x2 c&c cage on top of a piece of plywood.

I’d like to lift it off the ground slightly.

I thought 2x1 timber might work? Does anyone have any other ideas?

I would look at a DIY store as they often sell legs for chairs ad tables.
Depending on how high you want it some sofa legs screwed to the corners of the plywood might work?

Just slightly off the ground, even just a couple of centimetres would be fine. The laminate that the plywood sits on feels quite cold.

Pieces of timber should work if they're somewhere they wouldn't rot. Or bricks, books. Castor covers or circular door stoppers available online could do the job if not too small.

Can you get hold of an off cut of floor insulation and some waterproof membrane to wrap it in? Then you could put the plywood base on that and it would feel warmer.
