How To Keep Guineas Cool

I’m currently looking at what will be the best things for me to buy to keep my two lovely ladies cool when it gets really hot. I have fans in my room and blackout curtains as well, but I’m wondering if the Trixie cooling plate for small animals would be a good option placed in their hides, or a cooling pod. Cooling pods like the ones from Newton and Scratch look great, but are quite pricey. Any suggestions would be welcome as to what you all do to keep your beautiful piggies cool

I would avoid any cooling pads, we got one last year I wrapped it all up and within 12 hours they had chewed through it and got the gel everywhere,(very scary day after worrying about them)! I used either a frozen water bottle or picnic ice block, I make little fleece covered for mine but you can wrap them in a small towel, I may look into the scratch and Newton ones though I have a friend I made a cover for and she really recommends them!

To be honest I offer a frozen plastic bottle in a sock, and mine usually avoid it like the plague!
