How to keep cool in this heat

I'm trying very hard to keep my crew cool, even with increased water bottles it's proving difficult. Watering the ground, wet towels over the hutches, cooled veg. Next step, they will have to come inside at this rate, drastic measures for drastic weather.

Good to see some are keeping cool.

It's cooler outside in my garden than it is in my house! My house is like a sauna. I have north facing garden and the hutch is out of direct sunlight from 11 o'clock in the morning. The piggies are out of the hutch from 7am until 9 to 10pm. In the morning when the sun is directly on the run, the run is covered up with an old duvet that is dampened with water so the piggies aren't in the sun at all. I put in sock covered ice packs too but they just get ignored.

We have a north facing living room and south facing garden so it’s cooler in the living room.

Our house is south facing and even the back bedroom (where the pigs are) is reaching 27C at the moment. They have ice pods and sock-bottles and they studiously ignore them! Caught B.B. in what looked like a very squashy nap-position in a narrow tunnel earlier. I think they’re less bothered by the heat than I am

I too have a North facing garden but a south facing bedroom where the piggies live therefore they have been spending most of the day out in their run in the shade with frozen bottles and a cold damp fleece draped over their run

Awww bless! hope it gets cooler for her
