I took my piggy to the vet today and i normally fill his little carry case up with sawdust and a small amount of hay so he can burry his face, but the problem is he has an allergy to sawdust (as i found out today) and this meant that today, i sat in the car with him sat there and in about a 10 min journey he sneezed about 20+ times, and i just felt bad 'cause it can't be pleasant for him and it must make him uncomfortable and he doesn't like going out at the best of times. always hides behind his brother !

i tried before just putting hay in but if they pee it gets in there fur and they end up needing a bit of a wash :/

what do other people use to fill there carry cases ?
i can't fit a fleece in it as it is quite small, and i was unsure about just newspaper because of the ink, so any tips would be great thank you ! :)

I use an old jumper or cardigan. I just make sure its an absorbant one and away you go. (i use ones that have holes in, or stains) I wash it after and keep it in the piggy cupboard.

Newspaper or blankets or cut offs from my vetbed...
If a fleece won't fit what about a couple of flannels...?

Thanks for all the suggestions i think i might do a bit of a trial on all of them see wich the piggies prefer :)

Mine have some newspapers and then a bit of comfy vet bed on top, it wicks away any wee very quickly and is warm and snuggly! I just put some hay on top of that and some veggies to distract them! Sometimes I put a cosy bed in and turn it upside down so they can hide in it :)

I just put a layer of newspaper and a towel folded in half so they can go between the layers for comfort. I'm lucky my vet is 10 mins up the road, if you have to go further i would reccomend a slightly larger carry case so you could put more bedding and a cosy cup or something :)

I used fleece, stops them sliding around as well when I'm rolling around up and down dales etc. as much as I drive carefully you can't count for tractors and nutters on the road.
