Heya!

I just bought a plastic house for my guinea pigs (two boars, 4-5 months old) for them to hide in (so far I just used towels to make tents and hammocks out of,) but I was wondering if there was an easy way to avoid them peeing in it.

I use cloth or towels to keep the floor soft in the hiding places, but they need to be replaced daily or at least every two days since they're not, uh, very picky about where they do their business. :D

So, any tips, any ways to avoid this?

Nope !

Sorry haha, they're piggies and don't really care about where they do it, we just have to slave around after them !

Theres no way to really fully litter train them or anything unless they already do stick to one corner, the joys of piggles.

Haha, oh yes, I've noticed that not too long after we got them the relationship of owner-pet changed to master-slave. The latter being us puny humans who must feed and care for them. :D

We've managed to get 2 of our piggies to do 99% of their pee's in a litter box rather than on the nice cosy beds etc.

They live on fleece and the litter box is full of sawdust and carefresh, we put some soiled bedding into there when we moved them to fleece and they now just always go there to pee (no training, just luckily caught on I guess lol!) Poop however is a different matter lol! :))

Might be worth a try, though if your pigs already live on sawdust / carefresh / megazorb then they'll probably ignore it haha.

I'm pretty sure that my piggies pee anywhere/everywhere x

Don't let them go there (easier said than done lol)
follow them around, and learn the signs of peeing. (mine back up, lift up and place down)
