Hi all, hope everyone is well! I currently have a 2 story 6x2ft rabbit hutch that I have adapted to make it suitable for my 2 boars. They are super happy and healthy but as I use fleece I'm finding it difficult to clean the hutch. The top tier is easy as I can just layer the towels, puppy pads and fleece but as the bottom tier is a run with no floor I have to ask my boyfriend to lift the hutch whilst I position the fleece etc on the ground which is ok but not ideal as if I'm on my own it means I can't change the fleece. I've been thinking of moving to a C&C cage but as we have 2 jack Russells I'm just wondering how suitable it would be? The dogs are very well behaved with the pigs (not that they are ever together) but you can never trust instincts. The pigs are in their own room and I was thinking I could put the C&C on top of one of those Ikea bookshelves (you know the basic ones you can turn on their side, Kallex I think their called?). This would make the cage about 2.5ft raised off the ground and I could also have the lids so it's all enclosed. I would also have a couple of the lofts either side so there is more space. Would this be suitable for someone with dogs and also, would my pigs be affected by the decrease in space? I haven't got a clue when it comes to C&C so I'd be really appreciative of any advise!

The bookshelf sounds a good idea, high up.

C&c cages are pretty sturdy, you'd definitely need a roof on it.
