Hello,
My guinea pigs are about 9 weeks old and I'm wanting to put them in a c&c cage, how old do they have to be? If any age, one of them climbs loads,
Any advice
Thankyou xx

I really think they will be fine in a CC cage. Mine were pretty small and there is no way the could have got through at 8 weeks.

Make the coroplast higher up if you're worried though :). Or maybe try just buy one pack of grids and measure it up against their head size? That way you can just return it if its no good :)

TBH I'm no expert but I would wait a while until the really high popcorning stops. I couldn't put an exact age on it but you'll notice a definite tailing off of the really high gymnastics.

Babies can get their heads through the gaps so caution is needed - we used the mesh grids until they got bigger then changed to the normal ones :)

I've had mine in a C&C cage since we first had them at 4-5 weeks old! The sides are 5" high which is tall enough for ours as they don't climb. I'd say any age as long as you make sure they can't jump through!
xx

I put mine in a normal C&C cage, then stuck some extra coroplast around the top and fastened it with zip straps. Never saw them jump or climb, but didn't want to chance it!
