How often should I clean my cage?

Hey. So for my two guinea pigs I use the Midwest guinea pig cage (I know it’s a bit on the small side but I plan to expand as soon as I get the money and they get lots of floor time). Anyway I use fleece as a top layer and then a few layers of towels underneath. A lot of sites say you should wash it every few days to a week, but I find that their cage starts to stink every two days or so. So often would you suggest washing the towels and fleece?

Yes, do as needed. In a smaller cage you'll need to clean more than a bigger cage
