hello :))
i have a 2x6 cage for my two guineas, i spot clean the fleece several times a day and clean the base of the cage with a mix of vinegar, water and dishwashing liquid every few days.
is this too excessive ?
thanks :D

Hi! If your fleece gets soiled after a few days then your probably washing it enough. If it’s still relatively clean, you could wait another couple days…

Honestly it probably depends on your piggies! I clean my coroplast bases whenever they start to get a little dirty, so the time elapsed varies. I use only water and vinegar. Some pigs are splashier and stickier than others, lol. If somebody likes to make it rain on the edges, you might be wiping down even more frequently than that. If your pigs are tidier you could probably go longer. The extra cleaning certainly shouldn't hurt them though!

For keeping the cage familiar-smelling I like to wash the bottom fleece and the fleece accessories on different days.
