Quick question,

Should I be feeding a tablespoon of pellets per guinea pig per day, or a tablespoon in total for both my guinea pigs per day?

I scatter feed the pellets for my piggies rather than put them in a bowl. It gives them stimulation and mimics natural foraging instincts. I have a blind piggy and it helps her use her other senses to find her food. All 3 of them get very excited at breakfast time.
Oh nice, I might try that ;)
Also thank you everyone for the comments I was feeding them 1 tablespoon in total.

I give 1 tablespoon per pig. Each pair gets 1 tablespoon scattered around their floor morning and afternoon. They love "sprinkle time" 😍 I do it when I first get up around 5am and again around 3pm.
Sprinkle time. That’s sooo sweet. 😍

I tried sprinkling but it didn't work for us - they are too used to the bowl. Two of them went and stood where the bowl should have been at dinner time and stared at me! Mine mainly eat pellets around 5-6pm before an evening forage in the hay and settling down for the night so that's when I refresh the bowl. As piggies have passed and new ones arrived this routine has stayed pretty much the same so whether it is their instinct (triggered by daylight hours) or just a habit learned from current residents I don't know. Recently 3 pigs have been getting used to each other so I split the pellet portions between 2 bowls in different places to prevent bullying and if one was emptied just shifted some over from the other. It's varied day to day but they are more settled now... 💕
