Hi!
I’ve been doing research on my veggies lately and I can not find the right amount of vitamins c/ calcium that guinea pigs are supposed to have daily. One article said that for an adult guinea, they need 25 mg and then another said they need 100mg a day. Does anybody actually know the right amount for both calcium and vitamin c daily for guineas?
Thank you!

I don’t think many of us actually calculate it all out and give veg accordingly. Nutrients start to degrade in fresh veg once they are picked so it may not be exactly what you are giving them anyway.

The best thing is to give lots of hay, 50g of veg per day ensuring you give a high Vit c veg daily (such as coriander or bell pepper) and only give high calcium veg once per week. Most importantly ensure pellets are kept strictly limited to one tablespoon per day and that drinking water is filtered. A good variety of veg will ensure that they get all they need
