So my guinea pig has respiration problems, he is on antibiotics now, I mix it with a small bit of water and syringe feed it. The vet has given me probiotics as well and just told me to give it to him once a day, but I don't know if I can give him the whole packet mixed with water? If yes then how much water? I'm scared to give him 1ml I feel that's a lot lol. Yesterday I mixed a bit of water with it and put it in his veggies and he didn't really like it and struggled to eat it. Do I just syringe feed it as well? Thank you!

I’ve not used bio-lapis before so I’m only going off of the information I’ve found online and I’m not sure how helpful I can be in this situation given it’s a product I don’t use.

It says to use 1 sachet per day and, if I’ve read it right, to mix it with 50ml of water. Now; that is a lot and I’m not sure how easy you will find that. However giving 1ml at a time isn’t out of the question to try but even if I gave it twice a day you will be throwing 48ml out of every sachet away - I’m not sure whether you will be able to keep it once it’s made up.

You must be incredibly careful when syringing water due to the aspiration risk.

You must always make sure to give probiotics either 1-2 hours before or after a dose of antibiotics, don’t give them at the same as each other.

The probiotic I use comes in a tube and I give a measured amount several times a day. No waste or fuss!
