Hi,

I am just trying to work out how much does this hutch really worth and it would be better to hear from you all since you are public people.

So how much are you willing to pay for this hutch as 2nd hand, as shown in picture? It is only for guinea-pig, I will not allow anyone to purchase this for a rabbit since they should be having a minimum size of 6ft x 2ft x 2ft hutch.

Thank-you for your honest opinion.

Lessie ;)

Sorry

Sorry, what am I like - I always forget to attach things! rolleyes

Here it is

Hi Lessie,

I am a tight arse and would probably say that I would pay £30 at the most. Could you confirm what the total squared foot is for the hutch?

My logic behind this amount is - It is a lovely space saving design but would say that it is well used. The water marks on the wood for example would mean that there could possibly be insects/bacteria in the wood and the floors would need replacing in the not to distant future as they have not been preserved. The whole hutch is also due a weather proof treatment.

Saying that I am renowed for being really really tight and usually others are prepared to pay more than I am .

I do not mean to cause offence and am sorry if I have.

Hiya..not sure if I would buy this for guinea pigs - only because I would imagine the ramp is quite steep as the two floors have alot of height in them...
I also wouldnt be happy with the water marks etc...I would def recommend treating it - you would be able to get more for it then you could now I think...

No not at all, you have not offended me at all! I was expecting to hear that response because that is what I also think. I am currently renovating it at the moment, therefore it will definitley look a lot better and more safer and up to date. I was just curious, how much you would pay for this as it is.

I will be posting another image when it's renovated once I'l get round to it!

Also I've ordered a custome made cover therfore it should be weatherproof and waterproof! ;)

Thanks for posting your comment! : )

i agree, i'd buy it for rabbits, not piggies. i think £25-£30 would be as far as i would go. it's a lovely design, but the floors don't look that big. sorry chick

I agree with the others; for a second-hand hutch as it is, I wouldn't pay more than £30. When it is done up, treated etc. I'd go up to £40.

What is the ramp like?

You are right Lessie I wouldnt even purchase it for a rabbit....

Too small and not enough ground footage... It looks like you couldnt even get a tube or anything in there and a rabbit is supposed to be able to do 3 hops from side to side (plus have a partner so def no!)...

I wouldnt pay anything for it. :)) Not even for piggies! (maybe £20 for a short term quarantine hutch of something...)

Lessie,

Dont be put off by comments. If are are planning to do it up then you could adapt it by putting in two extra layers and then it would become a piggie palace.

I have seen those hutches brand new and would not buy one. They are far too small for guinea pigs. Nice design look good in the garden.
