Hi so I've only recently started using the guinea pig forum and I usually give my two male guinea pigs 30grams of nuggets each but I've seen a lot of people here say to only give them a tablespoon each? This confuses me though as there are different sizes of tablespoons so I am wondering what this is in grams? Also the guinea pig nugget packet that I use says to give them 30-60grams per adult guinea pig? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Hello a tablespoon equals about 15g so it’s quite a small amount really.
The diet care guide on here is really useful

There are different sizes of tablespoon. If you get an actual tablespoon measure (15ml), and fill that with nuggets, then that is the exact amount each piggy should have per day. It depends on the brand of pellets, but if you weigh one tablespoon of pellets, it comes to 6-10 grams. So you can see the information on the packaging is far too much.

Pellets need to be kept limited to one tablespoon for the long term of health of guinea pigs. The less pellets they eat, the more hay they will eat and the healthier your piggies will be
