Does anyone here know how many different noises a guinea pig can make?

Yes me and the vet were stunned...although there were two of us holding her down and one trying to remove the stitches so I guess she was a little annoyed LOL! It was a surprisingly deep growl as well..worthy of any dog! She always was a little 'different' ;-)

Squealing, chuntering...

There are three different types of rumbling, by the way - rumblestrutting, dislike and pleasure purring.

Cooing? Mine sometimes do this while being stroked... Dont know what it means or if it has another name, sounds a bit like a pigeon?!

Oh yes, our Ivy does that, and it's so sweet! Only had one other piggy who did it. Both of them very cuddly pigs, and I have always taken the cooing as a sign that they are very happy and content indeed!

I've lost count now! I think we can honestly say that we own the most unique animals on the planet

Bubbling? … I call it chuntering
Whenever Rambo is in the garden always chuntering
Chunter chunter chunter

Sneezing and coughing when they eat to fast (Rambo again…)

OOOh! And when mine have found a good scratch they make a soft sound

I always imagine they're little chicken, I think they sound the same

Yoshi was a champion wibbler. :)
I think this Is to do with when they are in the wild the babies of the group make noises so others know where they are if they are in long grass my smallest girl does this during lap time she's so tame as i got her too young (she shouldnt have been weaned really she was a teeny 120ish grams). I let her run all over me during laptime as she likes to explore me and chew my clothes and she does the bubble thing the whole time. Its so cute i'll have to film her

I look forward to seeing that.
