Well, I've spent the night moving my lot from outdoors into the summerhouse as I'm going to be away or xmas and my good neighbour is going to look after them, so to safe the hassle of going outside in the dark, checking and feeding I thought I'd bring them all in and it would be so much easier.

There was me thinking it would take me an hour just to move their hides, bowls, bottles etc into the pre-washed and jet washed (thanks to hubby) and put the bedding in and then the furries - oh no...after nail clipping, bum wiping, and little diva Flossie required so much more...full bath and hair trim. 3 hrs later I am done and wanting some dinner - but can't be bothered so I am eating homemade lemon drizzle cake! officially exhausted.

You have my full sympathy. I only have to get one (recently bereaved) boy ready for his Christmas trip down South, but his grease gland needed cleaning , so bum bath and a bit of a trim required. He's also started to need a regular anal sac clear out as he's an old boy. So, a 10 minute job of switching to his travel cage has, like yours, extended!

Have a good Xmas

Mine occupy the dining room. And fill it pretty much to capacity. However there's a big turkey dinner to serve this week and I can't squeeze 8 people round the kitchen table or ask them to eat on their knees so I'm going to spend most of tomorrow redistributing my fur babes round the house! I'm sure it will be hours like your big move @Mother Hubbard

I am so glad it's not just me who does these things...it makes me feel so much better...honestly.

It's amazing how much time it takes just to do some bum cleaning though and sac check!

Oh wow, what are you going to do @VickiA ? After all the fur babies come pride and place! LOL

I *think* that if I shift out all of their paraphernalia into the garage I can keep Connie and Violet on their table and build a temp enclosure underneath on the floor for Ted and Mollie thereby freeing up the largest table. I have yet to see if, in practice, this works and also whether we can actually then get round the table without having to turn into Flat Stanley to sit down. Am I stressed about this? Only in so far as it puts the piggies out - the hoomans will just have to manage!

Of course if it doesn't work then we will have piggies in the office and piggies under the beds!
