welcome I'm new here too I'm still finding my way round xI just bought the bluebell hideaway hutch from Pets at home and was wondering how many Guinea pigs it could accommodate btw the measurements are 152cm long by 61cm width and it has 2 levels
ohh they are so super cute they look happy together too and u are rite its normally the older that takes charge but I guess that every piggy to his/her own. also they normally say its raising of the head the highest is one there is a few others but I lack memoryView attachment 67402
Here's a pic of all three together!
I may be wrong as I'm not completely sure how to tell which Guinea pig is most dominant but Casper (the grey and white pig) seems to be the most dominant out of the 3 which I find unusual as younger Guinea pigs are normally submissive to the older Guinea pig or atleast that is what I thought!
I own 4 boys and they are 2 pairs of brothers which I tried to put together but went really badly wrong I forgot to have a towel handy and almost lost my thumb was not nice atallOh welcome to you aswell then!
just out of interest how many piggies do you own?
they say that younger ones apparently get on ok with older ones but mine only month age gap and was the 2 dominant ones who went for it dale chattered his teeth chips got in first go if u like then the chasing I knew chips didn't mean to bite me he looked so scared bless him ive never tried againOh god I never had a towel with me when I bonded my trio but I guess I just got lucky as my three bonded quite well
fingers crossed for you it will all go well I got lots of information from different sources on the internet, I watched videos etc as I am new to piggies I also found help here so I think it will be fine as they do look fine but I think every one would say just too keep an eye and listen out for the teeth chatting that's where dale went wrong with chips hence my thumb look at the pictures you will see what I have had to do temporary to stop mine from fighting until I do my little home made set up for themYeah that's why I got younger ones to go with Charlie as his cage mate died
Iam a bit worried about when the two younger ones get older as I've heard that they then start to mature and become more dominant but I think they will be fine as they get on really well
