How Many Bum Baths Are Too Much?

I saw a thread on some pigs that just got a bath and it made me think that i give regular bum baths to Honey and Gizi. I do it around once a month and a half with plain water and just wash their bums a little. Is that bad? Could it dry out their skin?

Do you just wash their bums in these baths? I don't think regular rinsing in water for a bum bath will do any harm. I do it often with my long haired piggy, either with just water or if she's extra mucky then some sensitive piggy shampoo from gorgeous guineas

Yes i just wash their bums with some plain water no shampoo or anything. It's just that some day they get very wet bottoms

I don't think it will do them any harm then, long haired piggies must endure the bum baths to look and feel beautiful, just don't overdo it on the shampoo. I find regular washing with some warm water does the trick

Yes, if it can be helped then plain warm water is best for regular bum baths as it doesn't wash out the natural oils in their coat. I only does mine with shampoo when it's needed. Otherwise just a nice rinse
