How long do you guys think I can wait until washing the towels that will go in my playpen - made up of about 10 storage cubes? There will be two boars playing in it everyday for about an hour or more. Using the washing machine to wash the piggies stuff (even in a pillow case) isn't the best alternative for my family. We're not quite agreeable on that. I think I'll just thoroughly hand wash it when it needs it. I'm just wondering how often you guys think I should clean the playpen towels?

I'm not sure on how often you will have to wash them but i was just going to say after youve washed the piggies stuff you should then do an empty wash at highest temp to clean out the washing machine before you wash the familys stuff thats what i do 
Thanks for the reply hollie917. Another idea is that I could just use fleece on top of a shower curtain. Do you think the pee would just sit there and make the fleece wet or would it work fine for an hour or two while they're out?

I think you just need to feel if it is wet and if it is then wash it.
