Hi, I'm new here. I have two grown up piggies who live outside and have unfettered access to the grass in my garden. I move them around when they have shortened the grass in their run and I just about get away without ever mowing! I have newly sown an area of grass (about 6 weeks ago) and it's growing well. I'm just wondering how soon I can relocate them to that area without them killing the new grass by over eating it.

I would research when a new lawn is ok to be mowed for the first time, I guess its OK for pigs to eat for the first time without killing it. Unless they rip up the roots of course, then I'm not sure

Thanks but I think it's gonna be a lot longer than that. The first mowing should take no more than 1/3 off the height - piggies eat off a lot more than that. I'm inclined to leave it a season and not put them on it this year.
