How long before timothy hay goes bad in an airtight container?

Hi all, I was just wondering how long before hay starts to spoil in an airtight bag/container? I ask as my haybox delivery came yesterday to my mother's house due to me not being home. On arrival back at my house I noticed my mother had brought a box up for me but to make carrying the box easier she had put it into a bin bag and had tied it tight. I'm guessing the hay had been like this for around 10 hours. Will this still be ok?

Yes it’ll be fine. It’ll only run the risk of going mouldy if it is left to get damp potentially through being left in direct sunlight and sweating.
Hay is sold in plastic bags all the time and it is in those for considerably longer - months before sale
