How Doea Benji Know Its A Sunday

Every sunday without fail, he has a lazy day, lounges in his cave all day sleeping, then comes out when he whistle cause he knows its dinner time, then off to bed again. (Do not even think about trying to get him out for a cuddle, not on his sunday) we worried the first time he did it, but we've learnt now its just his thing, how on earth does he know what day if is? He must have a secret calender in his room! Any other piggies out there like a lazy sunday?

I honestly think guinea pigs are more intelligent that we give them credit for. They obviously don't know the days of the week but they know their routine. My 2 knew that Sunday-Wednesday I worked until 5pm and they'd be waiting for me at the front door to finish, But on a Thursday I work til 9pm and they didn't wait at the door at 5pm... It's amazing how clever they can be and they pick up their little routines. You piggy just wants a duvet day on Sundays!
