Hey you'll

It's been a while since i was last on as lifes been a bit crazy and we've been working with our girls to get them used to us. Fingers crossed but they're doing so very well! x)

Recently we added a new member to our family, another female piggy who we have called muffin. She's currently in quarantine for two more weeks just to be safe and then we'll start the proccess of introductions.

At the moment we have a 2grid by 5grid cage with an upper level of 2 by 1 but feel with 3 piggies we should expand. Only thing is i can't figure out the best way to add a larger 2nd tier with out having stability problems or taking away some of the 1st level space.

So after that looong backstory(which i apologise for 8:) lol) the question i would like to ask is...how do YOU make your second tier/level work?

Coco, Angel & Muffin (piggies)
Mad Max ( pom/yorkie terrior)

Never done but here is my idea...

If you put pvc pipe vertically at the corners of the top story, would it hold up the cage, bedding, piggies, toys, etc. Kinda is a "T" shape. The vertical line being the pvc pipe, and the horisontal line being the cage floor on story #2. (may require duct tape, glue, hot glue, and/or wire to keep pipe in place, as I have never tried it...)
Hopefully this makes sense, and works, or spurs ideas.

Hi

I have a 3 grid wide by 1 deep hay loft with no extra supports required. If you connect the underneath panels together with cable ties it gives it enough strength without the need for supports.
