Our two male guinea pigs ( tufty and nibbles) keep trying to mate with each other. Does anyone now how to stop them?
Thanks
Thanks
That’s entirely normal behaviour and nothing to worry about. It’s bonding/dominance behaviour rather than sexual/reproductive.

Hi and welcome
Mounting is normal social interactive behaviour for both genders; it is mild dominance behaviour and not something you can or should stop. Mating only happens between boars and sows when a sow is in season and ready to mate.
